Rory has served with a number of units but primarily with the Royal Corps of Signals with whom he deployed to Bosnia on a number of tours.

Since leaving the forces a number of roles and experiences have come along including pleasure boat Skipper, taking care of medically dependent children in a childrens home and most recently front line Ambulance Service from 2015 later moving into mental health support for the staff and volunteer groups with one of the largest ambulance service trusts in the country.

One thing that as been consistent through the varied roles that Rory has held has been training. Beginning with first aid, Marksmanship and NBC in the forces and moving into the civilian world this was formalised in 2008 since when Rory has taught a variety of disciplines although with first aid in its various forms always at the core.

Most recently Rory has become an instructor member of Mental Health First Aid England as always pursuing the gold standard in training and education.
